Don’t worry, we’ve kept it short, clear, and only mildly soul-crushing. Here’s what you can and can’t do with the Neon Nexus™ name, logo, and brand. Spoiler: you’re still allowed to be creative, just not evil.

Article 1: What You May Do

Creating mods or fan content does not grant ownership or usage rights to the Neon Nexus™ name, and these projects must remain clearly unofficial.
We encourage creativity and community engagement. You are welcome to:

           1.1 Refer to Neon Nexus™ in articles, blogs, videos, reviews, academic texts, or community discussions.
           1.2 Use Neon Nexus™ in the titles of commentary, review, or educational content (e.g., “Neon Nexus Gameplay Review”) — as long as it’s clear                        you are not affiliated with Vulcanus Games.
           1.3 Create Let’s Plays, reaction videos, memes, and other fan-made content.
           1.4 Create fan-made mods or projects referencing Neon Nexus™, as long as they are:
                      1.4.1 Non-commercial
                       > ⚠️ Clarification: “Non-commercial” means no direct or indirect monetization. This includes selling mods, placing content behind                                               paywalls, requiring donations, or similar practices. Ads or voluntary donations are acceptable if clearly unrelated to accessing 
                                 Neon Nexus-related content.
                      1.4.2 Clearly labeled as unofficial.
                      1.4.3 Do not use the name Neon Nexus™ in the project title, unless approved.
                      1.4.4 May be shared online, provided they follow these rules. 
             1.5 Use our logo or wordmark only if provided through our official brand kit or with explicit written permission. Contact us via                                                    vulcanusgames.com for access details.
             1.6 Include the ™ symbol upon first mention: Neon Nexus™.
             1.7 Use the trademark as an adjective, followed by a generic term (e.g., Neon Nexus™ game, Neon Nexus™ universe).
             1.8 Visually distinguish the trademark (e.g., bold, italic, capitalization).
             1.9 Reference compatibility clearly and neutrally (e.g., “Compatible with Neon Nexus™”) with a disclaimer stating no affiliation or endorsement                      by Vulcanus Games.

Article 2:  What You May Not Do

Respectful Dialogue Statement:
While these guidelines are firm, Vulcanus Games values constructive dialogue. If you believe your project aligns with the spirit of Neon Nexus™ and want to discuss exceptions, you’re welcome to contact us. We aim to handle such matters with fairness and mutual respect.

Projects using the Neon Nexus™ name in their title, regardless of genre or content similarity, are not permitted unless explicitly approved by Vulcanus Games. We reserve the right to review such cases individually to prevent brand confusion.

To avoid confusion or legal issues, you may not:

           2.1 Use Neon Nexus™, Neon Nexus, or any similar/confusing variation (with or without the ™ symbol) in the name of your own game, company,                    website, app, or service.
           2.2 Claim or imply any affiliation, partnership, or endorsement by Vulcanus Games  without explicit written consent.
           2.3 You may not use Neon Nexus™ in the title or branding of games, mods, or projects created after May 27, 2025 (the date of trademark filing                      and first use), unless you have written permission from Vulcanus Games. Projects created on or before May 27, 2025 may continue under                        the conditions below.”

                 >⚠️Clarification:
                          2.3.1 Projects created on or before May 27, 2025 (the date of trademark filing and first use) may continue if non-commercial, clearly                                            unofficial, and include disclaimers stating no affiliation with Vulcanus Games.
                          2.3.2 Significant expansions (e.g., new game versions, commercial releases, rebranding using Neon Nexus™ in the title, or updates                                               fundamentally altering the project’s scope) require compliance or written permission.
                          2.3.3 Minor updates (e.g., bug fixes, minor UI tweaks) are permitted.
                          2.3.4 Vulcanus Games reserves the right to request removal or name changes if a project causes confusion or misuses the trademark.

            2.4 Sell digital goods (e.g., in-game content, downloadable assets) using Neon Nexus™ without a license. This excludes blockchain-based items                         or platforms unless separately authorized.
            2.5 Alter our logos or trademarks, no color changes, cropping, distortions, or animation effects without consent

           2.6 Register domain names, subdomains, social media handles, or SEO content including Neon Nexus™ in ways suggesting official affiliation.

                   >⚠️ Clarification:
                           2.6.1 You may not use Neon Nexus™, or similar/confusing variations, in domain names, subdomains, social media handles, or SEO                                               content suggesting official affiliation.
                           2.6.2 Fan sites must be clearly unofficial, use disclaimers (e.g., ‘This is an unofficial fan site, not affiliated with Vulcanus Games’), and                                             adopt neutral branding (e.g., neonnexusfan.com, myneonnexus.com, neonnexuscommunity.org).
                           2.6.3  Official domains, such as neonnexus.eu and neonnexus.games, are operated by Vulcanus Games and exempt.
                           2.6.4  We may take action against domains registered in bad faith, including via ICANN’s UDRP process.

Article 3:  Trademark Protection
We review public and commercial uses of the name Neon Nexus™ regularly to ensure fair use and prevent misuse.

3.1 Neon Nexus™ is a trademark of Vulcanus Games, registered or pending registration with the EUIPO and USPTO for Class 9 (software and               games) and Class 41 (entertainment services).
3.2 Applications for other regions (e.g., UK, Canada, Australia) may be in progress.
3.3 Vulcanus Games actively monitors domain names, social media, and online content to prevent unauthorized use of Neon Nexus™, using              tools like WHOIS and Google Alerts. Official domains include neonnexus.eu and neonnexus.games. We may take action against domains               registered in bad faith, including via ICANN’s UDRP process.

Article 4:  Attribution Requirement
For commercial or public references to Neon Nexus™, please include:

4.1 Neon Nexus™ is a trademark of Vulcanus Games, registered or pending registration with the United States and European Union.
4.2 Short-form for footers or credits: © 2025 Vulcanus Games. Neon Nexus™ is a trademark of Vulcanus Games, registered or pending                         registration.

We have no affiliation with other companies, projects, or services using similar names in unrelated sectors. Any naming similarity is coincidental and implies no endorsement. Vulcanus Games reserves the right to take action against uses of similar names in games, software, or digital entertainment that risk confusion with Neon Nexus™ or misuse its visual identity.

Vulcanus Games does not hold exclusive rights over unrelated physical goods (e.g., apparel, mugs, prints), unless such goods create confusion, imply endorsement, or misuse the visual identity of the brand.
